Richmond County man shoots son with crossbow

An Augusta man was taken into custody Friday afternoon after he shot his son with a crossbow.

Richmond County deputies responded to the 2300 block of Dorn Road at 2:45 pm. April 15.

James Wesley Harn Jr. 67, shot James Alexander Harn, 40, with the crossbow and then barricaded himself in the residence.

James Harn Jr. was taken into custody while his son was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident is still under investigation, and no further information will be released, according to a statement from the deputies.
