Richmond County School System schools will release students early today, Wednesday, Aug. 30, due to Hurricane Idalia.
Due to Gov. Brian Kemp’s State of Emergency issue and the overnight upgrade on the possible impact of Hurricane Idalia to the Augusta area, RCSS will begin releasing students based on an established early release schedule.
“We have consulted with weather and emergency management officials to make this decision for the safety of our students, staff and families,” stated a press release from the school system.
The school dismissal schedule for Richmond County School System Schools for Wednesday is as follows:
