The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office will host Sheriff Richard Roundtree’s ninth annual charity gala on Jan. 27.

The event will be held at the historic Sacred Heart Cultural Center on Greene Street.

The event will begin with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. followed with dinner at 7 p.m. Festivities will include both a live and silent auction, open bar and live music by ChaVonne Campbell & TreSounds.

Corporate tables with seating for eight are $1,300 and individual tickets $100.

All proceeds will benefit local charity organizations.

Due to the Covid pandemic, the gala has not been held for the past two years. The beneficiaries of the 2020 gala were Augusta Dream Center, Children’s Miracle League, When Help Can’t Wait and Hope House of Augusta. Each charity will receive $2,500, according to Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Lt. Kimberly Lee.
