A Riverside Elementary School student received a minor injury on Thursday following an altercation between two students.

According to a notice sent out to parents, there was a physical altercation between two third grade students during class, which resulted in one student sustaining a small bump on the head.

“Upon further investigation, both students are being held accountable according to the code of conduct. Safety of students and staff is a top priority and we take incidents such as these extremely seriously and will investigate fully. There is no action needed at this time, however, we felt it was best to notify our parents in the event your child raises any questions or concerns,” the district said in the letter.
