A CSX train derailment about 11 p.m. closed Riverwatch Parkway near Interstate Highway 20 for several hours overnight.
According to CSX, 14 cars loaded with rock at Martin Aggregates were involved in the derailment.

Sheriee Bowman, CSX media relations said, “Crews safely moved the train to clear grade crossings for morning commuters and are actively working to clean up the spilled rock. There were no impacts to mainline train operations.”
She added there were no injuries and the cause remains under investigation.
The Georgia Department of Transportation said Riverwatch Parkway re-opened about 7 a.m
