Road closures to happen soon in Columbia County

There will be upcoming lane closures in Columbia County this weekend.

In cooperation with Merchants Association of Columbia County, several temporary road closures will be occurring starting Sunday, Dec. 8, beginning at noon.

Road closure times may vary depending on weather and will include North Belair Road, Events Town Center Boulevard, Evans to Locks Road and Antebellum Way.

“These temporary closures are for the annual Christmas parade sponsored by the Merchants Association of Columbia County,” stated a press release from Columbia County.

Multiple county roads that intersect the parade route will also be closed to thru traffic at their entrance/exits onto the roads mentioned above.

During the closing of the parade route, the following intersections will be fully or partially closed:

  • Industrial Park Drive at North Belair Road — Complete Closure
  • Ronald Reagan Drive at North Belair Road — Complete Closure
  • Ronald Reagan Drive at Evans Town Center Boulevard — No left or right turning, thru traffic only
  • Main Street at Evans Town Center Lane — Complete Closure
  • Encore Lane at Evans Town Center Lane — Complete Closure
  • Williamsburg Way at Allen Drive — Complete Closure
  • Taxslayer Drive at Allen Drive — Complete Closure
  • Allen Drive — Complete Closure
  • North Belair Road at at Evans Town Center Boulevard — Complete Closure
  • Evans Town Center Boulevard, northbound from Washington Road will be closed at Evans to Locks Road
  • Evans to Locks Road eastbound from Washington Road will be closed to left turns or straight traffic at Evans to Locks Road, Detour right at this intersection only.
  • Evans to Locks Road westbound will be closed to right and straight thru traffic at North Belair Road. Detour left at this intersection.
