A large crowd came out to Evans Towne Center Park for the annual Rock Fore! Dough concert Tuesday, April 4.

Concert attendees were happy to be back at the park after last year’s event had to be moved to the Columbia County Performing Arts Center due to weather. This year the performers include Riley Green, Sister Hazel, Cody Webb, DJ Rock and Voice of Harold featuring Mark Bryan of Hootie & the Blowfish.

Riley Green, the headliner of the performance, is a country music singer/songwriter. He was excited to be performing at the event.

“The Masters is such a historic event anyway, it’s cool for me being from just across the line in Alabama, I grew up a big fan of the Masters and being able to play a country music show for a good cause makes it that much more enjoyable,” Green said.

For Ken Block and Drew Copeland of Sister Hazel, they said it was an honor to be performing at Rock Fore! Dough again.

“We were here when this whole thing sort of got started years ago. The fact that we keep getting invited back, it’s an honor,” said Ken Block. “Masters week is full of magic and this community gets behind this event like no other.”

“Honestly, it’s for a great cause, raises good money for that, and a lot of times we have friends that are playing this event as well and just getting to come back to this area during this time is always a lot of fun for us,” said Drew Copeland.

Block added that they grew up playing golf, so it’s great to see the different opportunities the First Tee offers to young golfers. All the proceeds from Rock Fore! Dough support The First Tee of Augusta.

Lauren Teknipp, from Cumming, came to Rock Fore! Dough because she’s a fan of Riley Green and wanted to see him perform.

“This is my first time, and I’m very excited about it.”

For Vicki Williams, she has been to multiple Rock Fore! Dough concerts and enjoys coming.

“(It’s a) great atmosphere, great music,” Williams said, before adding Darius Rucker has been her favorite performer to see in concert.
