Ruby Tuesday in Evans the latest of chain’s locations to close

Date: November 21, 2025

Ruby Tuesday at Mullins Crossing in Evans closed this month, to the surprise of several locals on social media. A visit to the casual dining spot’s national website confirms that its location at 4203 Washington Rd. is permanently closed.

The Tennessee-based restaurant chain has been closing locations since it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the fall of 2020, struggling amid the Covid pandemic. The company said in its court filing that it would close 185 of its restaurants, leaving 236 company-owned eateries left. By the time it emerged from its bankruptcy in February the following year, it had only 209 restaurants open.

As recently as Nov. 5, a signature location in Lisbon, Conn. also closed permanently after operating for 20 years.

A sign posted on the door of the Mullins Crossing restaurant advised prospective patrons to instead go to the next nearest Ruby Tuesday, at 1183 Knox Ave. in North Augusta’s Martintown Plaza. That location not only shows no indication of closing, but is currently advertising that it will be open on Thanksgiving Day.
