Encouraging early Christmas shopping, Sacred Heart Cultural Center’s annual Holiday Market will offer a vast array of items for sale on Thursday, Nov. 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Based in downtown Augusta, at 1301 Greene St., the art hall’s free event will feature Christmas decor and gift ideas, as well as musical entertainment, homemade baked goods, free gift wrapping and demonstrations.

Several local and regional vendors will also be in attendance, such as: Buona Caffe, Finestkind Leathergoods, the Guild Bake Sale, Hilltop Embroidery, Paws & Claws Pet Bakery, Reflections Candle Company, artist and author Susie Shanlian, Senn Designs Jewelry and more.

Catered lunch will also be available for $13 to those who call 706-826-4700 and make reservations. The lunch will be provided by Deft Chef and will offer interested parties a choice of sandwich, pasta salad, chips, a chef’s brownie and a drink. Sandwich choices include: chicken salad, an avocado BLT, a classic club and a man-sized roast beef.

Presentations will kick-off at 11 a.m. with a session from Rebecca Lang, owner and founder of Rebecca Lang Cooks Curriculum, who will demonstrate different holiday recipes for “delectable bites.”

Following Lang will be the Harmonix group of musicians from Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School who will perform holiday songs at noon.

Next at 1 p.m., an informational presentation from Jean Phelps, known as The Bloom Closet Florist, about flowers during the Christmas and New Years season, concluding with cheerful performances by the Victory Christian School Choir.
