Date: March 02, 2024

The Salvation Army of Augusta has recently announced their partnership with Doc’s Porchside in the launch of the “Spring Cleaning Drive.”

This drive will gather essential cleaning supplies for individuals and families in need who are staying at The Center of Hope, and it will run through the month of March.

“We are thrilled to launch the ‘Spring Cleaning Drive’ alongside Doc’s Porchside,” says Major Jonathan Raymer, area commander of The Salvation Army of Augusta. “This collaboration highlights our commitment to serving our community and providing essential support to those in need. We are incredibly grateful to Doc’s Porchside for their dedication to our mission and their support.”

Donations for the “Spring Cleaning Drive” include laundry detergent/pods, disinfecting wipes, dish detergent, dryer sheets, paper towels, and more. They can be dropped off at multiple locations, including The Center of Hope, The Kroc Center, any Salvation Army Family Store, and The Salvation Army Distribution Center, and these addresses can be found at www.salvationarmyaugusta.org. Donations can also be dropped at either Doc’s Porchside location: 3035 Washington Road, Augusta or 5147 Bluegrass Trail in Grovetown.

“At Doc’s Porchside, we believe in giving back to our community and supporting organizations like The Salvation Army of Augusta,” says Daniel Scholer, owner and operator of Doc’s Porchside. “We are proud stand alongside them in their efforts to make a positive impact.”

Doc’s Porchside will also host Spirit Nights at both of their locations. On Mar. 20, the Augusta location will host their Spirit Night from 5 p.m. to closing. On March 27, the Grovetown location will host their Spirit Night from 5 p.m. to closing.

The Salvation Army of Augusta encourages all to participate in the “Spring Cleaning Drive” to help make a difference in the lives of those in need.
