The Salvation Army of Augusta has recently partnered with Farmhaus Burgers to support children in need in the Augusta area.
They will be collecting essential items for children of all ages throughout the month of February. Items that will be collected include all sizes of diapers, baby body wash, socks and underwear.
Donations can be dropped off at The Center of Hope, The Kroc Center, The Salvation Army Distribution Center and any of the Salvation Army’s Family Stores. Farmhaus Burgers on Broad Street will also be accepting donations. The addresses for these locations can be found at www.salvationarmyaugusta.org.
The number of children seeking shelter at the Center of Hope has increased dramatically with an average of 14 children per night. The Salvation Army of Augusta and Farmhaus Burgers are asking the community for support in providing these children essential items.

“We are deeply grateful for the generosity and compassion of our community,” said Major Jonathan Raymer, area commander for the Salvation Army of Augusta. “The support we receive during this donation drive will directly impact the lives of children in need, providing them with the essential items they require for their health and well-being.”
A spirit night will also be held on Feb. 8 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Farmhaus Burger in downtown Augusta. Ten percent of the proceeds will be donated to support The Salvation Army’s programs and services for those in need.
“We are thrilled to partner with Farmhaus Burgers for this Spirit Night event,” said Raymer. “Their commitment to giving back to the community aligns perfectly with our mission, and we are grateful for their support in helping us make a difference.”
