Savannah River Nuclear Solutions to host engineering job fair

Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) will hold an engineering job fair on Thursday, Feb. 13, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., to seek applicants with experience or holding degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields.

The event will be held at the North Augusta (S.C.) Community Center, located at 495 Brookside Ave., in South Carolina’s North Augusta.

Those with skills in the following areas are encouraged by the company to attend:

  • Chemical engineering
  • Civil and Structural engineering
  • Mechanical systems
  • Process control automation system
  • Materials acquisition
  • Software development
  • Instrumentation and controls
  • Packaging and transportation
  • Commissioning and startup
  • And other engineering fields

Skills needed include:

  • Chemical/process/manufacturing civil/structural
  • Design engineering
  • Process control and automation systems fire protection
  • Electrical and high voltage/power systems instrumentation and controls
  • Mechanical (HVAC, pressure protection, piping systems, material handling, system design)
  • Software development and artificial intelligence commissioning and startup
  • Materials acquisition and commercial grade dedication packaging and transportation
  • Nuclear and criticality, safety basis engineering
  • Equipment troubleshooting and performance monitoring for all disciplines
