School update for Jan. 23

Here is the school update for Thursday, Jan. 23

Columbia County

Columbia County School District schools will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 23. Operations will return to normal on Friday, Jan. 24.

Richmond County

Richmond County School System will have an e-learning day on Thursday, Jan. 23.

Aiken County

Aiken County Public School District will have an e-learning day on Thursday, Jan. 23.

Edgefield County

Edgefield County School District will have an e-learning day on Thursday, Jan. 23 due to predicted unsafe travel conditions caused by black ice on Thursday morning.

McDuffie County

McDuffie County School District will have a learn from home day on Thursday, Jan. 23.

“Hazardous travel conditions persist after yesterday’s snowfall. With sub-freezing temperatures expected overnight, roads throughout McDuffie County will once again be dangerous tomorrow,” the district said in a news release.

Augusta University

Augusta University classes will be remote on Thursday, Jan. 23.

Augusta Tech

Augusta Technical College will have a virtual learning day on Thursday, Jan. 23 as all campus locations will be closed. All locations will reopen with normal business hours on Friday, Jan. 24.

USC Aiken

USC Aiken will have remote classes on Thursday, Jan. 23.

Aiken Tech

Aiken Tec will have a delayed start on Thursday, Jan. 23 and will resume normal operations at 10 a.m.. Employees should report at 10 a.m.
