As new details surface in the brutal killing of an Augusta woman on Maxwell Street, a second suspect has been charged.
Trinaca Aday Moore, 52, was charged Wednesday with the Oct. 3 murder of 33-year-old Precious D’Antignac. Mary Moore, 55, was already charged on Oct. 8 in the same death. It’s unclear if the two suspects are related, but they have different addresses.
Witnesses told authorities that the two suspects pulled up in a black SUV to the victim’s home at 1141 Maxwell St., where they confronted her. A physical confrontation occurred and one of the suspects tried to hit D’Antignac with a firearm. The victim tried to flee inside her residence but shots were fired and hit her in the leg.
D’Antignac then used another woman as a human shield, but the human shield was able to run away, and Mary Moore allegedly shot more rounds into the victim as she was on the ground. She then emptied the gun into D’Antignac.
Witnesses say they heard the gun click several more times as Mary Moore tried to keep shooting, but the gun had run out of bullets.
On Oct. 8, Mary Moore was charged with murder, weapon possession and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. She was convicted of second-degree murder in 2000 for a slaying in Palm Beach County, Fla., according to authorities.
Trinaca Moore is also a convicted felon, sentenced to probation for a 2005 conviction for cocaine possession. She was given more probation for a 2019 offense of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to online records.
