Isiah Matthew Karausky, left, and Tiffany Reeves

Date: July 17, 2025

A man was shot early Wednesday in a Grovetown neighborhood, and two people were later arrested in connection with the incident, according to Maj. Steve Morris with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called around 4 a.m. to 533 Louisville Road, where they found 39-year-old Kenneth Tabor Jr. lying on the ground outside his grandmother’s garage. His vehicle was still running in the front yard. Tabor had gunshot wounds to his leg, thigh, and torso. Deputies rendered first aid before he was taken to Doctors Hospital in stable condition.

Tabor told deputies he was shot in the parking lot of the Willow Oak Subdivision pool on Sabastian Drive and then fled to his grandmother’s home for help.

Investigators later arrested 27-year-old Isiah Matthew Karausky at a home in Augusta without incident. He is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and is being held without bond.

Also arrested was 43-year-old Tiffany Reeves of Grovetown, who was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Her bond was set at $5,100. Authorities are still investigating her possible involvement in the shooting.

The victim is a convicted felon with a history of drug trafficking and other criminal offenses. Tabor has served three stints in prison for charges that include manufacturing meth around children, and he was last released in 2023 after serving just four years of a 10-year drug conviction.
