A man is dead after being shot near a Peach Orchard Road restaurant.
Ashaad Truitt, 31, of Miles Street, was shot at least once and pronounced dead at 10:53 p.m. Friday in the parking lot of Red Crab 3206 Peach Orchard Rd., according to a report from Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen.
Officials were called to the scene of the shooting shortly before 10 p.m.
Truitt’s body has been sent to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy.
