Shoppers in South Carolina can take advantage of shopping tax free on certain items this weekend.

For 72 hours, starting Aug. 2, the state’s annual Tax Free Weekend will have sales and use tax exempt for items such as clothing, school supplies, toiletries and even computers and software.

While some items are ineligible for the exemption—such as jewelry, furniture, cosmetics and items on layaway—eligible items can still be exempt even if purchased online.
