South Augusta man hit by vehicle, dragged by second car

The Richmond County Sheriff’s office is investigating the death of William Bell, 50, who was killed by a vehicle on Dec 21.

Bell was hit first on the 3600 block of Deans Bridge at after 1 a.m.

According to a press release from the Coroner’s Office, Bell was struck by a second vehicle that dragged his body. The body was found in a parking lot on Milledgeville Road at 1:45 a.m.

An autopsy has been scheduled.
