The GreenJackets were unable to capitalize on a pair of early chances, and the bats went dormant quickly as the Cannon Ballers pulled away late in an 8-1 thrashing of Augusta Friday night.

The GreenJackets plated a run in six of eight innings Thursday night, while the Cannon Ballers never got a runner past second base in a 7-0 shutout win for Augusta.

The GreenJackets put a man in scoring position in four of their first six innings, but could not turn their chances into big frames, going 1-10 with RISP in a 6-2 loss to Kannapolis Wednesday evening, Sept. 3.
