Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) raised $10,696 on June 4 for Children’s Place Inc. during its annual Celebrity Waiter Night fundraiser. SRMC employees acted as “celebrity waiters” during the event and served guests at Salt & Marrow in North Augusta.

Children’s Place is a therapeutic and behavioral health child and family development center. They are a local United Way agency that works to protect, heal, and strengthen children and families from the impact of trauma and other adverse experiences. SRMC tries to give back to the community, especially to children and families in need.

“Taking time to serve the community is a behavior that SRMC continuously models,” said Dave Olson, SRMC president and program manager. “Being able to participate in Celebrity Waiter again this year, alongside other members of the SRMC team, was an experience I will never forget. Thank you to everyone who came out to provide support for this worthwhile cause.”
