Recently, the Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) United Way campaign kicked off. SRNS has supported United Way since the 1950s.

At the kickoff event, United Way agency representatives educated SRNS employees about the services they provide to the CSRA.

“This year’s kickoff event was a huge success,” said Morgan Welch, SRNS United Way chair. “The attendees were able to learn about different agencies and meet those who are serving in the field every day.”

SRNS, Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL), Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC), and Centerra will host different fundraising events over the next few months to support each company’s goals, which will go towards the Site’s overall goal of $1.4 million.

“Employees will have the opportunity to contribute to the campaign by participating in food sales, office competitions, golf tournaments, volunteer projects, and other events and also submitting their monthly eCards commitments,” said Ethan Guidry, SRNS United Way vice chair.

SRS donated over $1.46 million in last year’s campaign, exceeding their Site goal of $.14 million.
