Two notifications were sent out on Friday afternoon by the Columbia County School District informing parents about separate incidents occurring on Friday, Nov. 8, in which elementary aged students made comments of a threatening nature to their peers.
Second grader makes threatening comments with scissors
One of these notifications referenced a Stevens Creek Elementary School second-grader who made comments of a threatening nature against another student while holding a pair of scissors.
Administration was notified and immediately contacted the Columbia County School District Police Department. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that several students witnessed the incident on the playground during recess.

The scissors were immediately secured by CCSD police and the student is being held accountable according to the code of conduct.
North Harlem Elementary incident
A separate notification referenced a North Harlem Elementary School student who made comments of a threatening nature against another student during class with others present.
The student is being held accountable according to the student code of conduct.
