Suspect named in Captain D’s shooting

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Ravanell Gomillion, 40, who is wanted on charges of murder in connection with the Tuesday shooting that left one man dead.

On June 14, Richmond County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to shots fired at Captain D’s on the 3100 block of Wrightsboro Road in Augusta.

Eurl Kittles, 42, was shot at least one time, according to Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen.

Kittles was pronounced dead at the scene.

Other charges against Gomollion include possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Gomoillion is considered armed and dangerous.
