If you prefer to dine al fresco, you may request one of the outdoor tables. Inside, intimate booths line the walls and are the perfect places for quiet conversation over dinner. High top tables fill the main floor space. Fresh-cut flowers in glass vases adorn each table. Once you’re seated, the wait staff works tirelessly to take great care of you. My water glass was never empty and the appetizer, entree and dessert I’d ordered arrived in perfect time.

The menu is filled with a wide assortment of choices to tempt many palates. Unique appetizers include alligator tail, conch fritters and soul rolls. Entrees such as the Southern fried chicken and catfish platter offer cozy comfort foods. The menu includes plenty of seafood choices as well. If you are looking for something a bit casual, order one of the signature sandwiches or burgers. The smoked mac and cheese is a definite must-try side item.

After dinner, I enjoyed one of Suite 10’s boozy desserts. The drunken chocolate mousse is a decadent concoction and comes highly recommended. Made with Godiva dark chocolate and Bailey’s Irish Cream, it is topped with Ole Smoky moonshine-drenched cherries. The little fruits pack a punch, so be sure to share this dessert with a friend or two.

I enjoyed dessert with a side helping of live music. Singer Maisie Shaw took the spiral staircase next to the bar where she entertained the crowd from an elevated platform. Her powerful voice and stage presence lent an electric energy to the contemporary hits she performed. An engaging artist, she led the audience in a rousing sing-along to the classic song “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond.

Suite 10 has something going on nearly every night of the week. For those who prefer an early evening out, the music begins at 6 p.m. most nights. If you enjoy live entertainment while dining, this is your place.
