TBonz Steakhouse in Augusta has reopened after a fire caused the restaurant to close Sunday, Nov. 20.

According to an incident report provided by the Augusta fire department, a small fire was coming out of the attic area onto the exterior of the roof line.

“We were pretty lucky,” said Henry Scheer, one of the owners of the restaurant. “The fire department got there real quick.”

The fire was not due to an electrical issue, and investigators are classifying the origin as undetermined, according to Scheer.

The restaurant was closed on Sunday to take care of cleanup and repairs and has now reopened, according to Scheer.
