Team Takeover and Mokan Elite advances to Peach Jam title game

Team Takeover and Mokan Elite will be advancing to the Nike Peach Jam Championship after winning each of their Final Four matchups on Saturday, July 23.

Team Takeover defeated Team Durant 58-44 in the first Final Four Matchup.

Just like there Elite Eight game, Team Takeover’s defense was key, holding team Durant to 37% shooting from the field and 2-for-15 from three.

Deshawn Harris-Smith led Team Takeover with 14 points, eight rebounds and four assists.

Harris-Smith is a 6-foot-5 wing and plays high school basketball at Paul VI Catholic in Fairfax, Virginia. He currently has 16 college offers and is ranked number 100 on ESPN’s top 100 high school recruits list.

Mokan Elite will advance to face Team Takeover in the championship after defeating Houston Hoops 65-57.

This game was tied 43-43 going into the fourth quarter. Mokan Elite began the fourth quarter on a 14-0 run, which would be more than enough to advance and win the game.

Trey Green led Mokan Elite with 15 points, five assist and three rebounds. Green is a 5-foot-10 point guard currently playing high school basketball at Link Year Prep in Branson, MO. He currently has 16 college offers and is ranked number 88 on ESPN’s top 100 list for high school recruits.

Omaha Billew finished with a double-double for Mokan Elite, scoring 13 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Billew plays high school basketball at Link Academy in Branson, Missouri. He currently has 12 Division I college basketball offers and is one of the top ten high school recruits in the nation.

Team Takeover and Mokan Elite will face off in the Peach Jam Championship on Sunday, July 23, at 3:30 p.m.

The Peach Jam 16 and 15 under championship will also take place on Sunday. Drive Nation will face Nightyrdras in 15U Peach Jam Championship at 12:30 p.m., followed by NY Rens against Team Takeover in the 16U championship.

All games take place at North Augusta Riverview Activities Center.
