Teen dies in four-wheeler accident

A 17-year-old is dead after the four-wheeler she was riding was struck by two vehicles including a police vehicle.

Cheyenne Grace, 17, of the 2500 block of Friar Lane, was pronounced dead at 10:10 p.m. Friday, according to an email from Coroner Mark Bowen.

The four-wheeler was traveling on Barton Chapel Road when it was struck by a Dodge Challenger turning onto Barton Chapel Road from Blossom Drive. The four-wheeler then traveled into the path of a deputy driving his patrol car on Barton Chapel Road, according to an email from Sgt. Caleb Lee with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident, and no further information will be released at this time, according to Lee’s email.
