The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that two 17-year-old girls who were previously sought for questioning in connection with a felony theft investigation were taken into custody on Friday.

Authorities identified the juveniles as Ciara Simpson and Dominique Exilus. Earlier this week, both were wanted in reference to three counts of felony Theft by Taking stemming from an incident that occurred Tuesday in the 3500 block of Primrose Drive.

According to investigators, the case involved multiple stolen firearms. At the time the sheriff’s office released their information to the public, both juveniles were believed to be in possession of the firearms and were considered armed and dangerous. Exilus was also reported to have active warrants through the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office has not yet released additional details about the circumstances of their arrests or whether the stolen firearms have been recovered. Because both suspects are juveniles, limited information is expected to be made public.

The investigation remains ongoing.
