Drivers should expect intermittent lane closures on Hardy McManus Road this week as Columbia County and Reeves Construction begin right-of-way clearing along the roadway.

The temporary closure will occur between Halali Farm Road and Hardy Pointe Drive from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, Dec. 3–5, weather permitting.

County officials are urging drivers to use caution in the work zone.

Motorists are advised to slow down, leave extra space between vehicles, watch for advance warning signs, obey flaggers and “expect the unexpected,” according to a press release from Columbia County.

If possible, drivers should take an alternate route or allow extra time for travel during the affected hours.
