Drivers in Columbia County should anticipate two temporary lane closures on Furys Ferry Road, starting Monday, June 16.
The closures are part of ongoing construction and infrastructure work, and are expected to last through Friday, June 20, weather permitting, according to a press release from Columbia County.
The first closure will occur between Culbreath Drive and Riverside Drive from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
This closure is necessary for the installation of pipes, according to a press release from Columbia County.
Drivers are advised to expect delays and consider using alternate routes or allowing extra time for travel during this period.
Additionally, there will be a second lane closure between North Belair Road and Bridlewood Trail, which will take place from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night.
This closure is also part of road construction efforts, and drivers should plan for nighttime disruptions in traffic.
As always, Columbia County and ER Snell officials are urging drivers to exercise caution in work zones.
Drivers should slow down, maintain extra distance between vehicles, watch for warning signs and follow instructions from road crew flaggers.
