Starting Friday, July 25, drivers on Blanchard Road will experience intermittent lane closures as part of a road resurfacing project.
The closures will occur daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with work expected to conclude on Saturday, July 26, weather permitting.
Motorists are advised to slow down when approaching the work zone, maintain extra distance between vehicles, and follow instructions from flaggers, according to a press release from Columbia County. For further precaution, advanced warning signs will be posted to alert drivers of the upcoming closures.
To avoid delays, drivers are also encouraged to use alternate routes and allow extra time for their commutes during the affected hours.
