Columbia County officials, in cooperation with E.R. Snell, announced temporary lane closures at the intersection of Horizon South Parkway and Gateway Boulevard scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 13.

The closures, caused by utility construction, will occur intermittently between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., weather permitting.

Drivers are urged to exercise caution in the area, according to a press release from Columbia County.

“Whenever you approach a work zone: slow down; allow extra distance between vehicles; watch for advanced warning signs; obey road crew flaggers; and expect the unexpected,” the county advised.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and consider alternate routes or allow additional travel time during the construction period.
