Augusta locals will have a chance throughout the rest of this month and into December to support small businesses in the area while saving money thanks to gift-hunting deals. 

The Augusta Press has compiled a list of local specials and shopping events so that you don’t have to. 

Augusta Handmade Fair Pop-Up  

Trellis Coffee Bar at 1902 Walton Way is hosting a pop-up event for handmade goods on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. 

The Augusta Handmade Fair Pop-Up is an semi-annual fundraiser held by Redemption Church, with proceeds going toward local non-profit Sojourn Uganda

Artists and small businesses represented include Dearly Dawn Studio, Queen City ‘Crete, MacArthur Woodworks, JB Pen Turning, Cosmic Flower Shop and Hold It Flowers.

Small Business Saturday Crawl 

Downtown Soul City is presenting a Small Business Saturday Crawl on Friday, Nov. 30 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in Downtown Augusta. 

The event will kick off at Augusta & Co. on Broad Street, followed by stops at 15 local businesses including The Book Tavern, Grantski Records, Three Crows Fiber and FIELD Botanicals. 

Student-made pottery 

The Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art, located at 506 Telfair St., is hosting a student holiday pottery sale on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. 

Additional dates include Monday, Dec. 9, Tuesday, Dec. 10 and Wednesday, Dec. 12, all from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. 

All pieces for sale are creations of students within the institute’s ceramics programs.

Aiken County Christmas Craft Show

The 54th Annual Christmas Craft Show will be held Friday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, December. 7 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the H. Odell Weeks Activities Center. This event will feature vendors from all over the Southeast, with a variety of items that are handmade by crafters, bakers, artisans, and more.

WestoBoutique 

The fifth annual WestoBoutique will run from Dec. 6-21 at the Westobou Gallery located at 1129 Broad St.. Visitors will be able to shop a curated selection of handmade items from local and regional makers. 

This event is presented by Augusta Handmade Fair, and WestoBoutique shoppers will get a free Handmade Fair shopping tote with any purchase of $50 or more.

11th Annual Auggie’s Holiday BUZZar

The 11th Annual Auggie’s Holiday BUZZar will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14 at SRP Park in North Augusta from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. This free event will featured a variety of local vendors for community members to browse. There will be Toys for Tots bins for locals to make donations. Santa will be on site for photos.

The annual Hot Chocolate 1-Mile run/walk, presented by Fleet Feet Augusta, will take place at 10:15 a.m.

Holiday Market at the Marina

The Holiday Market at the Marina will continue every Sunday until Dec. 22 from noon to 4 p.m. Visitors to this weekly event can find handmade home goods, Christmas ornaments and decor, jewelry, clothing and bath and body goods.

The market is also expecting several visits from Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
