The Columbia County Board of Commissioners will hear several rezoning items during the meeting on Tuesday, April 2.

The first is a rezoning of 1535 Appling Harlem Road from R-A (Residential Agricultural) to C-1 (Neighborhood Commercial) with a conditional use for a convenience store with fuel pumps.

“The plan shows an approximately 2,400 square foot store located centrally on the site with a fuel island at the front along Appling Harlem and a diesel fuel island at the rear of the building. Per the applicant, the diesel island will not have more than three pumps and does not constitute review as a truck stop,” according to the agenda document.

County staff is recommending approval of the request for 1535 Appling Harlem Road.
