Whether one is looking to gather with family, friends or a significant other, several options for celebrating Oktoberfest can be found throughout the CSRA.

Villa Europe – Augusta

Observing the holiday one last time in its current location, Augusta’s Villa Europa, located at 3044 Deans Bridge Road, will be hosting a final Oktoberfest on Sunday, October 15, from 2 to 9 p.m.

A family-owned restaurant since 1974, Villa Europa is known for serving German, Italians and American cuisine, and will be closing soon at an unspecified time due to building issues.

Holding two seating events at 2 and 6 p.m, limited reservations are available and can only be reserved over-the-phone at 706-798-6211 with Brittany Rose.

The Savannah River Brewing Co. – Augusta

Kicking off on Saturday, Sept. 23, at 1 to 9 p.m., Augusta’s downtown Savannah River Brewing Co. will be hosting an Oktoberfest that will embrace the essence of fall with new beer releases.

Located at 813 Fifth St., the event will feature games, food from Villa Wagen and other entertainment for the entire family.

It will also highlight small German batches of beer, including: a single malt and single hop IPA, an Oktoberfest lager, a Pineapple Session IPA 40, a Double IPA 80 and a Mexican lager.

Bath Gardens – Blythe

Located at 3855 Bath Edie Road in Blythe, Ga., the two-day event will continue on Saturday, Sept. 30, from noon to 9 p.m.

Named in honor of Fleming’s grandfather Alozno Plumb Boardman, who built the gardens from 1958 to 1964, funds from the gardens’ Oktoberfest will go towards keeping the venue a public community resource.

Adult and children contests will be held throughout the event and will award prizes to the winners. Contest categories will include: a corn hole tournament, yodeling, lederhosen, chicken dance, giant beer pong, beer puppeteer, keg rolling, stein holding and a boot chug challenge.

One day general admission starts at $25, with $10 KidZone bands, and increases to $55 for VIP admission. For those wanting to attend both days, $40 two-day passes are available for general admission, and $80 for VIP admission.
