Happy Birthday, America! Let’s raise a glass to our nation’s independence.

America’s birthday just got a little happier at Craft & Vine, where Pooja has whipped up some patriotic tipples inspired by berries, bursting with flavor this time of year. Not only are berries in the height of their season in July, their refreshing sweetness is the perfect counter to summers in Augusta.

Pooja’s New Glory is just the red, white and booze you’re looking for. She muddles raspberries with dry gin and adds spicy Campari. She then creates layers with lemon juice and blueberries as a nod to our nation’s flag.

Her Briar on Fire is as patriotic as it gets. Using Mezcal as her base, she concocts this elixir with blackberries, rosemary simple syrup and orange liqueur. Don’t forget to lick that delicious sugar-salt-blackberry rim. But do remove the sparkler first.

Pooja’s Liquid Courage is a riff on a blueberry mojito. In lieu of sugar she uses honey, lending more woodsy plus floral notes to this rum-based drink. Of course, it’s topped with mint, an herb-y greeting for your nose.

Grab these patriotic cocktails starting July 7, as the establishment at 1204 Broad St. will transform into Camp Craft & Vine, a bougie adult summer camp with a special menu. There will be a nightly waitlist at craftandvine.com, active during business hours.
