The Night Beat: Wild Wing Café Grovetown

Hot wings, cold beer, good times is the motto of Wild Wing Café, and for good reason. If you’re craving delicious food, cold brews and live music in Grovetown, Wild Wing Café is the place for you.

Famous for chicken wings, the Wild Wing Café menu is chock full of pub fare ranging from salads to wraps and burgers to sandwiches. The wings and nuggets are available in your choice of over 30 flavors and arrive at your table with a cool side of celery and either ranch or blue cheese for dipping. The bar stocks both standard brews and craft beers, giving thirsty customers a healthy variety of libations from which to choose.

The Night Beat: Stay. Social Tap and Table

We grabbed the last empty parking spot on the night we visited. Though it took us approximately half an hour to be seated, the time seemed to pass quickly. Jovial hostesses sat waiting customers as fast as tables were bussed.

Wait staff worked tirelessly to ensure that customers received their orders in a timely fashion. It seemed to take only a handful of minutes for my husband and I to receive our dinner once we placed our order.

We split a plate of The Boss wings coated with a blackened dry rub and cayenne pepper. Crispy and hot, these spicy wings are the perfect complement to a tall, cold glass of beer.

The stage is set along the back wall near the bar area and is large enough to host a full band. With a wide-open floor plan, the restaurant assures that every seat in the house a good one for watching the stage and enjoying a night of live music.

Edgefield, S.C. singer-songwriter Chris Hardy took the stage on Friday, July 2 and brought his wonderfully distinct musical style to the gathered crowd. Strumming a piccolo bass and slapping it like a drum, he entertained the crowd with a set list that included his unique originals peppered with classic hits from Chicago, Jim Croce, Cat Stevens and Steely Dan.

Wild Wing Cafe in Grovetown is a great place to unwind with friends while enjoying cold brews and hot wings. Local musicians take the stage most weekends with music starting as early as 8 p.m. so plan to arrive a bit early to ensure a table by show time. Located at 5147 Bluegrass Trail, Wild Wing Café sits just across the street from the Kroger Marketplace and is easily accessible from Exit 190 on I-20.
