Aiken Performing Arts calls its upcoming season one of music and magic.

“From the classic sounds of Carole King, Louis Armstrong and Queen to the illusions of America’s No. 1 Mystifier Mike Super, this season shows why It’s Better Live,” according to a news release.

The Troubadours: The Music of Carole King and James Taylor (Sept. 29 and 30, 2022): Enjoy an enchanted evening celebrating unforgettable music. With their dedicated backup band, Deb DeLucca and Sam Hyman masterfully blend piano, guitar and vocals to create an incredible tribute to the legacy of these amazing artists.

The Black Market Trust (Nov. 10-11, 2022): Fusing the sounds of the great American crooners and vocal groups with romantic Eastern European gypsy fire, Black Market Trust merges their love of everything from the Mills Brothers, the Beach Boys and Sinatra to Lennon and McCartney. These world-class musicians have traveled the globe, recording and performing on the world’s most prominent stages.

Mike Super

Mike Super – Magic & Illusion (Jan 26-27, 2023): The winner of NBC’s hit show “Phenomenon,” Mike Super is the only magician in history to win a live magic competition on prime-time U.S. network television and was voted America’s No. 1 Mystifier. Mike also is a Top 10 finalist on NBC’s No. 1 rated series “America’s Got Talent” and has appeared on Penn and Teller’s “Fool Us.”

Longineu Parsons

What a Wonderful World: A Tribute to Louis Armstrong (March 23-24, 2023): Longineu Parsons lovingly channels Louis Armstrong as he and his band perform great American classics such as “Basin St. Blues,” “Hello Dolly” and “What a Wonderful World.” Whether at Carnegie Hall or the Amentum Center, this show is a crowd-pleaser, the news release said.

Best of Queen

Champions: The Best of Queen (April 27-28, 2023): Emitting a sound and feel as iconic as Freddie Mercury’s legendary mustache, Georgia Players Guild delivers an amazing performance featuring chorus-filled guitar riffs and soaring once-in-a-generation vocals.
