The Aiken County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the death of a third victim from a tragic two-vehicle collision that occurred on Saturday on Williston Road near Azalea Drive.
Tabatha Kitchings, 46, of Aiken, succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident and was pronounced deceased Tuesday morning at Wellstar MCG.
Kitchings was identified as the driver of a 2012 Toyota Camry involved in the collision. The driver of the Kia, 52-year-old Angela Hancock, and a front seat passenger, 46-year-old Eric Sargent, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Coroner Darryl Ables, in a press release, disclosed that the preliminary investigation indicates the 2020 Kia SUV was traveling west on Williston Road when it crossed the centerline and collided with the eastbound 2012 Toyota Camry.
Authorities from the Aiken County Coroner’s Office and the S.C. Highway Patrol are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
