Three men have been arrested in conjunction with a July 10 slaying.

Burke County deputies found the body of Morris Harden Jr. of Dyer Street in Augusta lying on the side of the road. He’d been shot and killed at a home on Ninth Avenue in Augusta and dumped in the 1200 block of Watkins Pond Road, according to an email from Capt. Jimmy Wylds with the Burke County Sheriff’s Office.
The arrests came Tuesday.

Willie Warren Johnson 51, of 2024 Grand Blvd., has been charged with Murder, Kidnapping and tampering with evidence; Carl Grady Rouse 61, of 2614 Brookshire Dr. Augusta, has been charged with Murder, Kidnapping and tampering with evidence; and Albert Killebrew III, who is listed as homeless, has been charged with Murder, Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Johnson and Rouse are currently in The Burke County detention center, and Killebrew is in the Richmond County detention center on unrelated charges, the email said.
This is an on-going investigation and more arrests are forth coming, Wylds wrote.
