Authorities are investigating after three people were found dead inside a home on Bennock Mill Road Sunday afternoon.

“Preliminary information indicates this incident appears to involve a double murder and suicide among three family members,” sheriff’s Chief of Staff Lewis Blanchard said Sunday evening. “There is no danger to the public at this time.”

According to Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen, the Coroner’s Office responded to the scene at 656 Bennock Mill Road in reference to a death. Upon arrival, officials discovered three bodies inside the residence.
