The Augusta GreenJackets, Single-A Affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, have announced the 11th annual Auggie’s Holiday BUZZar will take place Saturday, Dec. 14, at SRP Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Hosted at 187 Railroad Ave., in North Augusta, the Auggie’s Holiday BUZZar is a free event for individuals and families, dogs are welcome to attend (remaining on the concourse).
“This is one of our most popular community events and we look forward to decking the park in holiday cheer,” stated a press release from the Augusta GreenJackets.
With over 30 small CSRA businesses and individuals will be set up on the concourse, locals will be able to wrap up holiday shopping while the GreenJackets’ mascot, Auggie, will walk around for photos.
Guests will also have the chance to get their picture taken with Santa in the Hive Pro Shop.
“Auggie’s Holiday BUZZar has always been a fun community event every year,” said GreenJackets Director of Marketing Catie Graf. “We’re excited to see it grow and continue to be a go-to event for guests for holiday shopping or just to enjoy Riverside Village. Always a Saturday to look forward too at SRP Park!”
SRP Park is also a Toys to Tots location where guests are able to donate new, unwrapped gifts and participants will even be rewarded with entrance to a raffle to win prizes.
Adding to the festive day, the event will feature several live performances, including:
- North Augusta School of Dance Performance at 10:30 a.m.
- Parkway Elementary Choir Performance at 11 a.m.
- North Augusta School of Dance Performance at 11:30 a.m.
- Martinez Elementary Choir Performance at noon
Locals are also encouraged to participate in the free Hot Chocolate 1-mile fun run/walk, partnered with Fleet Feet of Augusta.
“This unique race allows you SRP Park field access to take a jog around the warning track four times and grab a nice Hot Chocolate at the finish line,” stated a press release from the Augusta GreenJackets. “Grab your best Ugly Sweater for a contest prior to the race.”
Concessions will be available and will feature fan favorite menu items and cold beverages, while the Hive Pro Shop will offer holiday specials and new merchandise available for purchase.
