The Augusta Commission has a subcommittee on redistricting. Chairman Sean Frantom said he anticipates some members will be at the Wednesday meeting.

Frantom added the Augusta Commission subcommittee will have another meeting on July 20.

In Columbia County, spokeswoman Cassidy Harris said the commission has not yet formed a redistricting subcommittee, but they will have representatives at the state committees’ Wednesday meeting at Savannah Rapids Pavilion.

“Chairman Duncan and Commissioner Melear are the only two confirmed to be at the meeting so far. Scott Johnson will be there for County Administration,” she said.
