Traffic disruptions to happen in Columbia County

Date: October 25, 2024

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Columbia County workers will continue efforts to remove leftover road obstacles.

Starting at 8 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, crews will be working to remove hazardous trees and broken limbs on Stevens Creek Road from the Richmond County Line moving north to Evans and Locks Road.

“Please avoid this area if possible and/or expect delays and traffic congestions,” stated a press release from Columbia County. “If you must travel this area, please remain alert as workers may be in the roadway.”

Officials are also asking drivers to slow down and allow extra distance between vehicles when approaching a work zone.
