I just returned from the Fall Furniture Market in High Point, N.C. I as pleasantly pleased with so much eye candy. I thought I would show you a glimpse of some of the products I saw. This is how, as a retailer, I select furniture to sell in my store.
Swivel chairs are hotter than ever. As I have mentioned before, a swivel chair is a great addition to any room. It can easily turn to be a part of every function in a room…or even in the next room if it is an open concept floor plan! And I noticed there was some great detail on the swivel chair options.

Over sized light fixtures were everywhere. Talk about making a statement in your foyer! First impressions are everything!

Twin beds have made a comeback! I find a pair of small beds can be a very charming look. And it’s not only for kids!

Sectionals have come a long way. I saw many examples where a table was designed within the upholstery.

This is one of the newest design trends that I really like. The headboards extend beyond the width of the mattress and incorporate the nightstands. What a sleek and sophisticated look!

A curved sofa can really pop in a rectangular room. I find the curvature to add a high end look to a room. And what a great option as opposed to a regular “boxy” sofa.

You all know I use the seven inch drapery tape a lot. When I saw it added on the back of a dining chair I was surprised and delighted! How lovely!

Dining chairs in a variety of colors was a welcome sight. Chairs stocked by my vendors are usually in neutral fabrics. To see regal blue and sage green dining chairs had me envisioning a perfectly splendid dining room!

And, a trend that I have embraced for years is dimensional art. I love to break up the monotony of a room filled with rectangular and flat wall art with something that pops from the wall.

Furniture with hidden storage was very popular at the market.

Four poster beds were also a big thing this Fall. I really liked the spindled columns on this bed. It would make a great impact in any bedroom.
