Mayor Garnett L. Johnson, area elected officials, Administrator Tameka Allen and the Augusta-Richmond County Government will host Hurricane Helene Recovery Town Hall meetings Tuesday and Wednesday.
The town halls will provide residents with critical updates on ongoing recovery efforts and offer a platform for community feedback during a question-and-answer period.
Representatives from FEMA, the U.S. Small Business Administration, debris contractor Ceres and city staff will share updates on available resources, debris collection, and recovery efforts.
The town halls will be livestreamed and residents unable to attend in person are encouraged to submit questions in advance via email at mayorforms@augustaga.gov.
The events are from 6-7:30 p.m. at the following locations:
- Tuesday: The Robert Howard Community Center at Diamond Lakes Regional Park, 103 Diamond Lakes Way
- Wednesday: The Linda Beazley Room at Augusta Municipal Building, 535 Telfair St. (This will follow a 5 p.m. reception for outgoing commissioners)
