Two teenagers were rushed to the hospital Monday night after a shooting in a Hephzibah subdivision, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to the 2800 block of Butler Manor Drive around 8:22 p.m. for reports of a shooting with two people down. When they arrived, officers found an 18-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and a 16-year-old male who had been shot once.
Both victims were transported to Wellstar Hospital in serious condition, authorities said.
Sheriff Eugene Brantley, Chief Of Staff Lewis Blanchard, and members of the Criminal Investigations Division were on scene late Monday night as deputies canvassed the area and collected evidence.
Investigators said there is currently no suspect information available.
