With thousands of friends, families and neighbors impacted by Hurricane Helene, the United Way of the CSRA is asking community members to donate to a disaster relief fund that will help locals find support in the days, weeks and months to come.

Known in 2023 for impacting the lives of more than 209,264 people living in the CSRA, the United Way of the CSRA is seeking to meet ongoing community needs with the help of donors and volunteers.

According to a press release from the organization, donations to the fund will provide essential financial assistance for housing, utilities and basic needs – offering both short and long-term relief to those who need it most.

“Every dollar makes a difference,” stated the organization’s press release. “United Way of the CSRA serves 11 counties in Georgia and two communities in South Carolina, so your donation truly stays here supporting local families.”

To donate and be a part of the recovery efforts, community members can text UWHelp to 40403 or visit uwcsra.org and click Disaster Relief Fund.

For those in need, the United Way of the CSRA is suggesting individuals call 2-1-1.
