VIDEO: Two students sent home after fight at Hephzibah High

A fight at Hephzibah High School led to two students being sent home on Wednesday, according to Principal Chris Nabahe.

The altercation, which occurred during the fifth-period transition, was caught on video and quickly spread across social media. The footage showed female students involved in the fight, while other students stood by, some recording the incident on their phones.

School District Communications Director Haley Lacuesta declined to provide details about the incident, but a letter from the principal to parents soon circulated online. The letter stated that no arrests were made and that the incident was handled according to the school’s Code of Student Conduct and Discipline.

In the letter, Principal Nabahe emphasized that such behavior is “unacceptable” and will not be tolerated. He also encouraged anyone with safety concerns to contact the Safety Tip Line at 706-828-1077.
