A Warrenville man died Sunday after wrecking his 2004 Harley Davidson on the interstate, one of two traffic fatalities in Aiken County over the weekend.

Timothy K. Arrell, 61, was traveling on I-20 East Sunday morning when he ran off the left side of the road, lost control and was ejected from his motorcycle, according to Coroner Darryl Ables.

The crash happened around 8:39 a.m. Sunday, and he was rushed to Aiken Regional Medical Centers, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. The Coroner’s Office, along with Highway Patrol, are continuing with the investigation. Toxicology analysis is pending.

In an unrelated traffic accident on Friday night, an Aiken woman was fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing Columbia Highway to check on a family member who was involved in a crash. Jacqueline Parker, 60, was pronounced deceased at Aiken Regional Medical Centers after she was struck by Toyota sedan on Columbia Highway north near East Frontage Road, the coroner said.
